Clinic Policies

We are thrilled to welcome you to our clinic.  Please view the clinic policies below to be informed of the clinic/patient partnership.

  • Appointment Cancellations: If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment to another patient.

  • Late Cancellations/No Shows: We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but please be aware that for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the appointment or no shows, we will charge a $50 rescheduling fee.

  • Refills: We strive to ensure that you have enough medication until your next visit. If you find that you are running low on your medication, please use the patient portal to request a refill or reach out to your pharmacy team. Please plan accordingly as refills can take 48-72 hours.

    • To my former patients: I cannot issue refills unless you are seen in my current practice.  Please contact my former practice for additional refills until you re-establish your endocrinology care.

  • Communications to Office: We encourage you to use our portal for all communications, including scheduling and prescription refills. In case of emergencies, please call our office line and leave a message including your full name, date of birth, and call back number. Our phone line is HIPAA compliant, and we will return your call as soon as possible. Please refrain from using our email for clinical concerns.

  • After-Hours and Weekend Calls: Please note that we are only able to address medical emergencies during after-hours and weekends. For scheduling, refill requests, and non urgent inquiries, please use our portal or call during office hours.

  • Portal/Phone Messages Requesting Medical Advice: Please be aware that you may be billed for medical questions sent to us through the patient portal and phone calls. The cost of this may be fully covered by your insurance or apply to your copay/deductible. Portal questions pertaining to medication refills or simple questions will not be charged. However portal messages requiring physician review of chart data, labs, or medical advice will be subject to a charge.

  • Card on File Policy: At the time of your visit, please be prepared to pay your copay, deductible, or any direct payments to our office. We require that you provide your credit card information, which will be stored on Elavon platform, a secure credit card processing/merchant services company. Our staff will not have access to this information, and you will be automatically charged for any outstanding balances once your insurance has processed your claim. You will also get an email 5 days prior to your card being charged reminding you of this happening so you can reach out to us to update the information as needed.

Thank you for reviewing our clinic policies.  Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
